Creeping out of the cold northeast of the United States comes a new band of crypt-obsessed creatures, Clergy. Each track begins with a quiet invocation before boiling over into pure vampyric bloodlust. Bolstered by chaotic guitar solos and grime-caked vocals that pierce the dark and sit atop the listener like the hot breath of hell. Sealed in a layer of reverberant fuzz and black magic, the blood of the Clergy pours from the split vein into the world. Drowning in darkness and sealed behind damp, mossy stones to be forever lost, forever damned, doomed to repeat this endless funeral of existence.

Here I am sitting in misery with the migraine of my life, and I think I've found my cure. Mare Cognitum is not just giving me relief from my suffering; it is giving me energy as the pure and unadulterated rage and fury of Solar Paroxysm is being channelled through my body. On m'a souvent répété : "tu verras : quand tu vieilliras, tu seras de droite" (que Dieu ou je ne sais quelle entité céleste si elle existe m'en préserve). Du coup, en écoutant F.B.I, je me suis posé une question : est-ce la vieillesse qui rend les vampires si acariâtres ? Dans cet E.P., Abysmal Specter nous fait profiter d'un raw black metal vampirique mais il est hyper dynamique avec des riffs qui sortent tout droit du rock'n'roll et du skate punk : bref, c'est une énergie juvénile.
