La mine, c'est le lieu qui met le plus en exergue les disparités sociales : d'un côté ils sont des milliers à descendre dans les entrailles de la terre, de l'autre une poignée s'élève socialement ; d'un côté ils meurent par centaines sous l'effet des coups de grisou, de l'autre ils consolident leurs richesses. Cette dualité, elle traverse aussi Kentucky : d'un côté le black metal atmosphérique asphyxiant, de l'autre l'americana et le folklore héroïque. Panopticon est dans la lutte permanente !

If there is a perfect album this is the one, every single track is a unique experience of its own. After my first time listening to this album I was in tears. The track Forgiveness in Rot is like nothing I've ever heard, the emotional impact it had on me is out of this world. There is no other song that can put me in the same mood as Forgiveness in Rot, the best track of the album. I'd go as far as to say that it's the best song of their entire discography. 10/10 tremolo picking points.
